40 YEARS Macedonian Language Studies in NSW
The philosophy behind learning a language stems from the belief that students acquire a second language better when they have a firm basis in the mother tongue, and that maintenance and development of the first language and concurrent acquisition of a second language enhances cognitive development and self-esteem. Students who are learning the Macedonian language experience not only language learning and development, but are also engage in cultural activities. The program provides sample opportunities that focus on an appreciating an understanding of the country, its history, beliefs, traditions and the festivities of Macedonia.

The course aims to teach predominantly non-native speakers basic Macedonian reading, writing and conversational skills. The course is primarily conversational in nature and takes a topic based approach to provide students with understanding and knowledge of essential grammatical concepts and vocabulary items in order to use the Macedonian language in real life situations.
